A few tips for EverQuest with the Ruins of Kunark expansion. 

Create a throwaway character to explore the new continent 
a bit before you bring over your existing character. 
Kunark can be dangerous, even to level 50s. 

Druids and others who use wolf form will now be killed 
by city guards when they are shape-changed into wolves, 
so remove this spell when you get close to a city. 

Evil races (trolls, ogres, and dark elves) are attacked 
by the Iksar guards, so jump off the ship and swim to a 
safe spot when you travel to Kunark, or look for someone 
to teleport you.
