Far Cry 2

Anyone here playing/played this game?
I bought it a couple weeks ago and despite some issues here and there it's a really fun game. From what I can see lots of people hate this game, which I can see why but it's all about how you play. Most people hate it because of how fast guard post respawn pretty quickly so you end up clearing out a post then a couple minutes later if you go back through you have to do it again which ties into what I said about it's all about how you play.
Far Cry 2 is an open world game the people having the most trouble are the one's trying to play it as a liner game and taking the quickest route plowing through all the missions in the process which in turn gets boring fast. If you play the game like an open world game you'll find it a lot more fun. Instead of charging into every guard post try to sneak around or take another route, try putting explosives onto your jeep and bail out just before the post letting it roll in then exploded... etc
I beat the game once and I'm now on my second play through except this time I'm playing it a lot slower, the first time I beat it in just under 20 hours, this time I'm about 5 hours in and haven't done my second mission yet.

Aadron , i too have played and enjoyed this game.
First time legitly and second time with a trainer.
Indeed the gaurd posts are SOOO anoying! and travel can be anoying too.
Besides that it is definitely awesome.
btw have you tried multiplayer?
You can create your own maps too.

Yeah the multiplayer is sweet and defiantly underrated. It needs polish to the menus and "lobby system" but overall the multiplayer is great... even though I find it kinda hard.
The map maker is ridiculously easy to use and a lot of fun, I haven't uploaded any maps yet but I've had a lot of fun playing around with it. I've also enjoyed playing other peoples maps in the editor specifically the really wacky ones that will never make it online... like the roller coaster maps, they are a lot of fun.
If only Far Cry 2 had a modding tool for single player *sigh*

I Found the Ending, like many war related games, depressing.
It makes you feel so alone in the world, well thats how farcry is,

lol vary true, if they stick to Far Cry 2's concept but improve on the bad things and add stuff Far Cry 3 will be amazing. There's talks that they might add something to do with Antarctica... but it's just a rumor and what in the world would you do in Antarctica?
