Everyone knows of the latest competition between games; the Online Shooter Showdown. It was a very detailed tournament filled with blood sweat and tears. (not really :P) In the end two games went to the finals, and those games are Team Fortress 2 and Crossfire. Anyone could argue why this was a very hard competition, and I'm going to be one of those people.

The first game to come up was Team Fortress 2, or TF2 as us regulars better know it as. It had already won competitions and awards before. so everyone thought it was a sure win. It had the best team based multiplayer, and it was extremely polished due to Valve's dedication to quality. What game could stand up to this titan of multiplayer?

Bring in the newcomer Crossfire. It has always been a favorite here at GameOgre.com, and has received many excellent reviews. With it's innovative Ghost Mode, wide selection of guns, and spot-on gunplay, it was the perfect contender for TF2. The only feature that anyone could count against it was it's imitation of Counterstrike.

In the end, Crossfire triumphed over TF2. It was a long battle, and a close one at that. There were many ups and downs between the two competitors, but only one can stand on top. That one game is Crossfire and it is the King of Shooters here at GameOgre.com.

Cross Fire Kill Count:
Battlefield 2142, Combat Arms, Counterstrike: Source, and Team Fortress 2.

Pros: Excellent, Accurate shooter, Tremendous selection of guns, Easy to get into.
Cons: Counterstrike knock-off, Hackers are abundant.

Team Fortress 2 Kill Count: Call of Duty 4, GunZ.

Pros: Excellent Team based games, wide variety of styles of play to choose from.
Cons: Intimidating to new players, too many choices and not enough ways to counter the classes.
