Didn't make an article for a while cause i've been carried away with WoW. But uhmm yeah PVE generally means player vs environment. This includes quests, grinding, dungeons but today I'll be mainly talking about quests and grinding in different games.

First of all I've played a number of games. From what I've seen Runescape, Guild wars, and Lord of the rings Online quests are different from the rest. They dont involve simple grinding. In GW and Lotro there are grinding quests but there is also Main story line quests. The quests in GW and Lotro are really fun and doesn't bore the shit out of you like WoW's quests because there are usually cut scenes and theres a lore behind it. Sure in WoW's quests if you read the quest text you would learn like the point of the quest but it might aswell write " I'm cutting the crap, go kill 50 turtles and come back for a reward" Thats what it could write because who the hell reads quest text.

Runescape has great quests. They were really fun because Jagex has really used their imagination. From turning into monkeys to slaying dragons, RS quests really offer alot of fun. But in RS you dont do Quests to level. You simply have to kill monsters, just plain old monsters for exp. Ok if the combat was fun you could put up with it but come on.. Sitting there watching your guy pixelly swing his scimitar at a spider gets a bit monotonous don't you think? Thats why I would usually put on one of those god capes and afk at the bandits. I would have a macro to auto eat food when i went under 50% but you dont need to tell Jagex that .

The rest of the MMORPGS from my experience sucked lvling wise and quest wise. I didn;t try all the pay to play ones but I don't know. In WoW, Silk road, KO, PW, 9D,2Moons, 12Sky, RoM, and in many more MMOs your objective is pretty straight forward when it comes to questing. In WoW the quests seemed fun becuase you recieve some good exp aswell as gear. But in Silkroad or KnightOnline or 9D you gotta kill like 1000 things. Literally 1000 for a crumby reward. Not to mention KO only has like 60 quests. Seriously. After you complete them you basically grind.

So if you're looking for a good Questing (Lore) experience in a game either check out RS, GW or Lotro. In Rs though if you arn't a member 70% of the quests suck but there are some good ones like dragon slayer and the vampire Slayer or something like that.

If you do want to skip all this questing and want to level fast play WoW. Over 3000 quests and levelling from 1 - 80 takes like 2 months. Some people do think that once you level cap your guy the game does get boring. I am starting to think the same thing about WoW and might go back to RS. But RS seriously gets dissed alot and you recieve alot of criticism and I cbf take that kind of crap at the moment.

But yeah WoW also has the best endgame to keep you playing but thats another story. Stay tuned I guess. My next aritcle will be about End Game in MMOs
