Crysis vs. Call of Duty 4 Results

This is a second round match in the Online Shooter Showdown.

The Match-Up

This week's battle was a match between two of the best retail shooters to come out in the past few years. Call of Duty 4 took the early lead, but Crysis fought back to even the score and grab the lead on the final day of voting. Review scores were tough as well. In the end, this match was decided due to review scores because Call of Duty 4 managed to tie up the forum voting right before it closed. Thus, Call of Duty 4 was also able to secure the victory and move onto the semi-finals. The gist of the reviews and voting is that Call of Duty 4 is more of a complete shooter than Crysis.

Comment: Very good game, an open world, and awesome graphics, but not as good as Cod4 unfortunately, heck, Cod5 isn't as good as Cod4!

Campaign

Call of Duty 4, Very fun and you actually feel like you part of it.

While it's fairly short, your doing so many things. From a Covert Sniper mission (Best fun EVER) to a mission where you take control of the guns of a plane ad bomb the bojangles out of the enemy below all in glorious heat vision.

The story line is compelling, and theres so many things going on your never bored.

Crysis, Sigh, at most times the AI is amazing, but all to often you see some stuff, such as a tank driving at you upside down, and that, while pretty funny, just doesn't cut it.

The story line is your standard kill the aliens deal, and you spend most of your time walking across this massive island. And while it is visually appealing, it does get dull.

Call of Duty 4 - 9/10
Crysis - 5/10

Graphics

Call of Duty 4, Look excellent, while at the same time it dishes out respectable frame rates on both PC and XBOX.

Crysis, Simply amazing.

Call of Duty 4 - 8/10
Crysis - 10/10 (11/10 if I could)

Gameplay (This includes multi-player)

Call of Duty 4, Engaging, appealing and above all fun. Wha else can you say but 10/10?

Crysis, while it is fun, rather repetitive, and the multi player needs some work.

Comment: Crysis is a great game, but it's only its graphics that are better than Cod4, cod4 just can't be beaten on gameplay, a cinematic shooter that is awesome all the way through it, not only that, but Cod4 is for many consoles including pc, while crysis is only for pc!

Comment: CoD 4 gets my vote. IMHO, CoD4 has a ton more going for it than Crysis. Multiplayer is better among other things.
