The Match-Up

This was the most back-and-forth match of the tournament so far. DarkFall started out leading both review scores and forum voting, but Atlantica Online reveresed that after a few days. Atlantica Online did mange to hold on to its lead in forum voting, but ended up losing its review score lead and ultimately the match.

After having three close matches to start this year's Showdown, Guild Wars showed why it won the first two Showdowns with a decisive victory over Warhammer Online. For the third week in a row, a match has came down to the final few hours of voting. Although Shaiya and AQ Worlds could not be more different as MMOs and it looked like Shaiya was going to win in a landslide, AQ Worlds began gathering strength after the first couple of days of voting. Dungeons & Dragons Online took an early lead in both forum voting and review scores primarily due to it being a free-to-play MMORPG now.
