Unlike last week, this week's match was never really close enough to matter. Operation 7 took the forum vote early in the week and never looked back. The review scores started to get close towards the end, but it wasn't enough. Despite a review score of only 6.3, Operation 7 moves on to the next round with an easy win.

Despite appearing to be fairly even on paper, the Online Shooter Showdown kicked off with a blow out as Combat Arms dominated War Rock in both...

Well, having two matches in one week did prove interesting. Not only was a tiebreaker needed, but it was needed twice! Eve Online and Sword of the New World both narrowly won in the tiebreaker voting on the forum and will advance to the next round. I think this is the first time that there was a tie in a Showdown match and now its happened twice.

Wasn't crazy about doing two showdown matches in the same week. Might try to avoid two again in the future but will be tough this year.

The next week's matchup should be very interesting as RuneScape and AQ Worlds are similar in a few ways such as both being free and browser-based games that are targeted towards the mainstream.

Might do two matches next week instead of one due to starting late this year. Next up are Eve Online vs. Pirates of the Burning Sea and Rappelz vs. Sword of the New World.
