It is a Web Browser Based one though. But it has over 2 Mill people playing

Well here is my take. I do feel as though MMORPGs have the same basic game-play. Kill a bunch of things, solve an occasional puzzle, etc, and I don't know how many different variations of this structure game developers can come up with. I personally think there could be a game that combines an FPS and a MMO in future games.

I personally don't like just clicking furiously to kill a monster, I would like a more dynamic combat control system. What do other people think?

Definitely not. I was personally thinking of game-play that utilizes a controller like the Wii. But I don't know, I don't really have a problem with the MMO controls right now, I would just like it to feel a bit more dynamic.

Well, obviously, there's something in MMOs like World of Warcraft or Perfect World that keep people coming back to them and playing them over and over. Ever heard of MMO addiction?

MMOFPS style of combat play, I can see. But why do we need MMOFPS? Aren't average FPS on game consoles and PC good enough? Besides. There's something generic feeling about MMOFPS. I feel like FPS wasn't meant for MMOGs market. Seems too basic for a MMOG. I'm already thinking of quitting. If a majority of future MMOs are gonna be MMOFPS, I'm gonna leave them for sure. I'd rather play a RPG or something else with online connections or even by myself.

I'm just saying. Why go play a generic and shallow MMOFPS (although there are some interesting and unique ones like S4 League, BattleSwarm, and the upcoming Global Agenda) when I can go to a store and buy a FPS for my gaming console or PC and play it with internet connection and join a room and mindlessly shoot people all the same, but with better quality?

But then again, I rarely like FPS anyways, so you may not trust my opinion. It is just an opinion after all.

    Here's my opinion:

I'm pretty sure that most of the games in future will go to internet and we'll see less and less boxes on the shelves. It's just a matter of commerce.

I chop and change, you need the difference between fps and strats.

Total war, has the reasonable merge between empire and battles.

All of the Online game has the life span of 5 years only.. After that, players quit and looking for other games.. It depends the uniqueness of the game. This is what I've noticed in all online games. The bottom line here is... ENJOY YOUR GAME!! :Mr-T:

Many only games last longer than 5 years. Look at Subspace or UO.

I believe WoW and RuneScape have both been around 5+ years. I'm sure there's many more too.

Now 10 years as a popular game, that's a feat. I can't think of any off the top of my head...

If a game like Mafia Wars or Farmville ever beats WoW, we are in serious trouble:(.

If it ever happens, that marks the end of real MMO gaming.

World of Starcraft could probably beat WoW if it ever happened.
