    I'm guessing by non-online games, you'd expect more than simple Windows default games like Minesweeper.

    Since a lot of good ones have already been mentioned, I'd recommend Limbo, if you're into platformer, or Crashlands (which can be played on a mobile device) if you're into action-adventure RPGs.
