Edit: The Activity System is now Live here: http://www.gameogre.com/forums/ogres-breakfast/27256-activity-bonuses.html

Going to post this since I do not want to lose it. I can not say that it will be accepted 100% in it's current format, but it is workable:). This was proposed by Kurotsuna.

"Royal ogres, Mods, active ogre regulars can get [x]amount points monthly for being active everyday (28-31 days) and Moderator can get a monthly pay for doing there job as a Moderator.

    Royal Ogres:
Being online for a whole month (20-31 days) - 200 points (monthly)
Doing useful things to keep the forum active job - 100 points (montly)

    Moderators:
Being online for a whole month (20-31 days) - 200 points (monthly)
Doing there jobs as a Moderator - 500 points (monthly)

    Active Ogre regulars:
Being online for a whole month (20-31 days) - 200 points (monthly)"

What does everybody think of this?

First we need a system to check the attendance of those who want to join this system.

I have an idea for tracking attendance, aside from a new plugin or some kind of way you already have to track attendance. Maybe a monthly attendance thread would work. Each month a new thread will be created and then each day each user can post in it. Each day they post they get a point added to the record in the first post to signify each day they've logged in.

Aside from a plugin automating the process, this cuts down the workload of tracking and checking legitimacy of activity by making everyone responsible for tracking their own activity in an open process. Also have an idea of how this could be done discretely if you and/or the community isn't wild on the idea of a public attendance record.

Hmmm, a thread would a fairly simple way for that. Instead of posting something random, each participant could say what game-related activity they did that day:).

This could be interesting, I like it. When it is online for a month, does that mean connection time, or just posting/being online once a day or such?

    What's being active?

And I am a Royal Ogre?

Does logging in constitute as a daily check in?

    etc.

If your name is of the royal color Purple, you are a Royal Ogre, yes.

I support it only under the condition that I can be aqua again. Otherwise I'm not concerned either way.

Yes, you are Purple now after what you did in the Budget Gaming forum last month:). To keep it, however, you need to stay active in posting. This goes for all Royal Ogres. That said, this system will need to incorporate posting as well. Logging on and chatting everyday is ok and could be good for some points in this system, but chatting does not help the forum as much as posting since the chat logs are cleared everyday.

Active Ogre regulars are ogres with a green name if I'm right and with 70%-100% activitity can participate.

Making a thread to check the attendance is a good way to check it.

The bonus points might change a bit higher to attract more people to participate this system.

Before ogre regulars can participate, they need around 70-100% activity.

Hmm, doing it based off of the Activity Bar could be interesting, but it hasn't been super accurate in the past if I remember correctly. Or even known what it is based on.

That. That is what it is.
I don't think it the reward needs to be any higher. And the activity bar CAN be kinda sketchy.
