Why do people like this game?

You might as well play Grand Chase then.

Grand Chase is like Maple Story but it has pvp, better graphics, a bit less grinding, and "cute" anime style characters even though I don't really care for cuteness in online games.

Back on topic, I don't really see why I would play this either. Can't do combos in this game and no pvp which makes this game boring. every other game has a better grinding system then this game. The only thing I like about this game is jump quests but Grand Chase has a few jumping maps in a few missions.
In Grand Chase, you can do this quest to get this 2x exp accessory that last for 2 days and what's better is that the more characters you have in Grand Chase, the more quest you can do to get that accessory. I bet you can't get that in Maple Story unless you pay for a 2x exp card. :P

You'd play Maple Story if you find it addicting, which I don't personally, but I like killing things really fast and easy, and leveling up quick. Maple Story has a huge grind, even more than many other games, so I got bored of it.

I kind play Maplestory for grind. Without grind, Maplestory would be a slightly better version of Runescape.

i must agree with Aaddron, They are so different. Runescape has plenty of grind and also offers a variety of different skills (wood chopping, fishing etc). They are very very different!

RuneScape has the worst chatting systems in the world. Also, it shares a same gameplay.

The gameplay is miles apart other than the grind. The only way to have the same gameplay is to do slayer task.

Runescape and Maplestory is both PvE and Maplestory DOES have PvP if you go to a certain place in Sleepywood deep in the cave where minutaurs and Cold Eyes come out.

Lots of people say Maplestory doesn't have PvP, it does.

I don't get it so because they both have PvE they are the same? RuneScape has world PvP on some worlds as well as duel arena, clan wars, some I can't think of xD and I think they even have a couple worlds designated for PvP just in the wilderness area.

Yes they both have PvE and PvP... but I still don't see how that makes them the same.
