 Terraria a 2d minecraft?
Can anyone provide more information on this game? My sister says it is like a 2D minecraft but I didn't quite understand it because she sucks at going into detail about any video games. |

Hmm, it looks ok, but I think I'm sticking with Meinkraftz.

I haven't played it but I've seen some videos of it. It's being called a 2d minecraft version by many people, but it isn't really. Theres crafting, mining and there are zombies and slimes like in minecraft. The game focuses on other aspects than minecraft though. It's much more about combat, and has special magical items that you can get, or things like grappling hooks. Can't really go into detail since I didn't play it yet myself

I am actually enjoying Terraria more then I did ever in Minecraft. Till You get good equipment in Terraria it takes his while but in Minecraft You just easily get a stone pickaxe then get fast and not hard iron and then a bit harder search for diamonds. But in Terraria You will get easily to Silver, which is like iron in Minecraft. But until You get to the next better grade of equip You need to fight atleast 1 boss. Which would be most recommended the Eye of Culthulu. I enjoy playing Terraria all day with my friends. It is just a great game which takes long to get all things seen.

It's basically 2d MC. It looks just like Minecraft, but some mechanics are weird. Like the fact that you can walk through some blocks but can't with others... There are defiantly more monsters, so that should make it very interesting. The bad thing is that the monsters are all day, not just at night.

Minecraft is mainly based on creativity. It did stem from a creative toy, after all. The gameplay in Minecraft tends to be repetitive, boring, and not planned particularly well. Terraria, however, was designed with gameplay as one of the main goals, and is much much more action oriented than Minecraft, you can go across worlds in a few minutes, and exploration plays a much smaller role. It also has a great deal more gear. Just because both have squares does not make them the same game, that's just silly.
