Well, I'm actually a fan of art ever since I was about the age of 6. I've been drawing and inspire by water painting an oil painting. I take most of my time usually doing stencil drawings when I can afford it, however painting always interest me. Painters like Picasso, Vinci, and ofcourse the lord and savior Bob Ross, all have just completely shocked my mind. Do y'all have any famous painters or moments you'd like to share?

  4. I admire the works on Jacques-Louis David, an excellent French painter of the Neoclassical era. I'm quite fond of his paintings of Napoleon Bonaparte, and many of his other paintings such as the Oath of the Horatii and The Tennis Court Oath. The influence of humanism and the colors that David uses are phenomenal.

The tennis Court Oath is one great histroic painting in France. Great pick! :)

  6. Anything revolving around the French Revolution's neat. I like the painting a lot, but the Napoleon paintings are the best.

Yes very true, I like how they make him appear so short in the paintings. But, in real life he's average height !!!

  8. Well I don't see how paintings depicted him as a short person; he looks quite average for a human being in the paintings. I think it's pop culture that depicts him as short.

I have no favorite painters. Mostly looking at the painting itself.

I don't have any favorite painters but recently I've been following this person's paintings and artwork and the detail she puts in is crazy.

Only painter that i remember by name is Bob Ross so i guess i will be going with him then. I have not shown much interest with paintings that much but i do like to admire well done paintings when i get a chance to do so.

  16. Edvard Munch is a good one, best known for his work The Scream, which sits in the National Gallery in Oslo, Norway. A lot of Expressionist art styles are interesting.

Claude Monet for most of his paintings from over a 100 years ago are much better than what a modern high MP Camera combined with a professional photographer can capture. 800px-Claude_Monet_-_Mouth_of_the_Seine.jpg

  19. Another good piece of artwork, more of a woodblock print than a painting, is "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" by Hokusai, which I would say is that artist's "one-hit wonder". There's so much detail to the waves, and you can just see the dynamic conflict between the waves and the boats.
