Dropped into what once was the city center of a thriving metropolis expect limited visibility and unpredictable terrain in this now lifeless wasteland. Upon entering the frozen city environment you will be immersed in an experience very different from what we have shown before.

The dynamic weather conditions will not only impact what you see but how you play. But the cold will stay constant, allowing for new elements on the map such as glacier tunnels. Weather will change unpredictably, one minute you may see clearly across the map and the next be in the midst of a blizzard.

As visibility will vary in these conditions you will have to rely much more heavily on your sensors and the information sent to you by your teammates. To help with this we have introduced thermal imaging, allowing you to target enemy mechs via their heat signature.

If your enemy is out of your site you will only be able receive location information from your teammates.

As the frozen city is cold it will affect the way your mech produces heat. Heat will take much longer to buildup allowing for lengthier, more intense battles with less chance of overheating your mech.

This environment will also affect the way you move through it. As you are walking on ice, traction will be reduced. Meaning that if you are in a light mech your ability to slow down will not be affected much from other environments, but in a heavier mech your weight will make it much more difficult to slow down once you have reached high speed.
