Lack of Newbie Protection and Farming

Good job drako, attacking me once a day for more than 100 troops, you have more than 800-900 troops, I signed up less than a week ago, and you seem insistant on farming me, sadly there are 8 other ppl in your close range yet you fight me. Sadly i enjoyed this for a few days until I realised that a player with 3x the troops/money/armour/time/etc. I would not care if it were possible for me to climb over 250 troops and take a turn, but no, drako's 80,000 attack and 8 casualties to 130 every day is just a little retarded, and no chance for any new comer to enjoy his experience, I would ask if you could remove my account from the conquest system as to prevent further farming and keep a balance in game.

Well, the range was lowered to 25% because of the troop race last season. Since farming has been mentioned a lot of late, this has now been raised to 50% to help new comers like you from being farmed.

No u see, within 6 days I owned 3 dragon armours, and da big club, which i know is A lot faster than most of you got yours according to older threads, but yet i cant get anywhere because every single day i get this now

If every single day i must waste ALL my turns recruiting troops and generating income just to offset the cost of some noob who cant fight ppl within 500 troops of himself then i would rather not play, I understood the 1st time but after that it got very sad very fast, every time i login i do the same thing now (the only thing i can do) recruit troops and generate income for all 50 turns (100 all day) so really i dont get to do anything, PLUS with drako on my ass im wasting all my time/turns/money just to TRY to break even, so no, pls just delete my account

He can't attack you anymore like that, because it has been raised to 50%.

Give it a few more days, if not satisfied then just quit playing. We haven't deleted anybody yet so not sure how it will impact the system or if we even can delete somebody.

I was also attacked by awesomedrako and lost half my troops.

What I did was go out and go down the wealth list looking for people to fight. If you keep attacking, you gain gold and lose units.

Hopefully, I can keep out of awesomedrako until I build up my defenses. So I am growing much more slowly than you but hopefully awesomedrako will lose quite a bit of units when he next attacks me.

You see there is a predicament in my situation, at around 250-300 troops, you are just under the bar to be able to afford new 5k attack and defense items - because we all know the other items are a waste of money :P - but in what drako has been doing, i have been just short of making my money every single day, I have not been attacking and it is leaving me with very few options:
a. check my army every hour or so to raise troops or money
b. try and save enough to buy defense, but fall short and lose about 30-40% of my earnings each day, leaving me completely vulnerable every single day to the same thing.

So I did the math, and found IF I were lucky and only drako farmed me like this, it would take me a solid month of stagnant misery to even bridge the 300-800 army size gap. something I am just not willing to put in just to beat one single noob :P

He seems to be building himself up well before getting big. He is too small for me to attack. However, he wont attack you again until you get to be 50% of his troopsize. That will be around 370 unless he gets knocked down. After spying on him just now, I doubt that will happen. In the meantime, build up your defense.

Does that other game have cases of farming like this, vyeh?

Which was my plan, in hopes that around 400-450 troops i would be able to build up before becoming an actual "threat" to any 7-800+troops, but it just isn't possible, i will try your new adjustment and see, but I find it is an imbalance in daily troop management, there needs to be some consistency, my advice is balancing troop losses with daily income of troops tied in with how many troops certain army sizes can recruit with 50 turns etc etc with your 50% attack adjustment, there you would find a sweet spot with troop management to maximize skilled strategic thinking.

Other games usually add features to dole out penalties for farmers, maybe a morale system is needed? where if in you farm lowbies, a starting value of 50 morale would drop significantly, which would result in a certain amount of set penalties according to value. dunno if your scripts would support that tho.

anyways sry for the wall of text, maybe ill stick in for a while in hopes things like this can be fixed

Oh man, sorry mate, I'll stop attacking people that are miles under me now... I'm a right idiot... You probably think I'm a jerk now

And also, Eirik, build up a load of gold and invest in a TON of weapons, and defence training, because troops don't matter if you can't defend them. And my advice is to use up all your turns every time you come on to mostly get gold (use part of it for recruiting), and then spend as much of the gold as you can to get loads of armor and defence training, because troops don't matter if you can't defend them.

And I don't think the morale system would be put in, because the game is a forum plug-in that is VERY limited in terms of what you can change. You can change the names, the pictures, you can raise and low the numbers, but you can't really add anything.
