Summer Tournament for Online Game Battles

GameOgre.com has decided to have its biggest game versus game tournament yet. The tournament will begin on June 1st and last all the way until the end of August. We did something with the Freebies last year but feel that this new forum is better suited for something like this.

Don't have all the details yet, but here is what we are looking at so far:

1. Any online game is eligible whether free or not.
2. Winners will be determined by polls.
3. There will be at least 3 phases with each phase lasting a month at the most.
4. Winners will be determined for each category and then the winners will compete against each other.
5. The overall winner will be GameOgre.com Reader's Choice for Online Game of the Year and will be on GameOgre's 2008 Award article.

That said, we are open to suggestions on games being entered and categories. You can also suggest a category and then several games in that category. In fact, the more game suggestions for a category the better chance it will be included. Suggestions will be taken all the way up until June 1st in this thread.

Sweet this sounds great but I don't really get it.Is it something like this:

Best browser game:Runescape, Habbo Hotel, Goal Line Blitz.

Best FTP game:Guild wars, flyff, NeoSteam.

A little like that, but not sure of those exact categories. Here is how it was last year with the Freebies:

The large categories would be someling like this:

Online Shooters
MUDs
Online Strategy Games
MMORPGs
Online RPGs
Virtual Worlds
Online Sports Games

However, most of those categories can be broken down into sub-catehgories.

More Details:

June = We will have 2 battles per category. No one battle can have more than 10 games in it.

July - The two winners from each category will face each other to determine the category winner.

August - All category winners will face each other to determine the overall winner.

Still working on all the categories, but there will be a Pay MMORPG category and a Free MMORPG category.
