This is the second match of the Online Shooter Showdown. If a tiebreaker is not needed, voting for this match will end on March 21, 2009 at 12:01 AM Central.

Unlike MMORPG Showdown 3, voting in this thread will have a large say in determining the winning because each review score in the Review Directory will be multiplied by the percentage of votes received here. For example, a game that had a 9 in the Review Directory and won all of the votes here would have an overall score of 9. If a game had a 9 in the review directory but tied here, that game would have an overall score of 4.5 because it only won 50% of the vote. In the event of an overall tie, voting will be extended by one day.

I vote Cross Fire even though Counter-Strike is probably the better shooter. If your a hardcore shooter fan you can't get better than Counter-Strike but if your fairly new to shooters or aren't that great I wouldn't recommend it. The matches aren't setup that well for newbies and it can feel overwhelming, often you join a match full of pros and get destroyed which isn't fun at all.

I haven't played Cross Fire in a while so idk how much it's changed since beta and tbh I don't really remember much from beta but I do know it's a lot easier for newbies to find "easy" matches while still catering to the core players.

All in all both games are great I just think Cross Fire caters better to everyone overall than Counter-Strike.

Oh Jesus. Hard match up. Good match up. I don't know. CS:S Just because it's been out much longer. CF has so many "Noobs" playing in pubs it's ridiculous. I came in a game, we were losing 6-12..they needed 1 win. I clutched every single game from 8-12 for us. We won 13-12. I went 34-2. xD

Definately a hard match-up. Have to go with CS:S because of the better graphics, better game types, and overall just a blast to play.

Source just got better graphics, it didn't add to 1.6 at all.

Exactly weehut, it was designed as 1.6 built on half-life 2's engine, it's the same game, with better graphics, which is good.
