2008 Online Game Battle Tournament Finals

I go with Beyond Protocol. BP is the definining game in its genre while Perfect World should have lost to Guild Wars.

Well anyways, the Online Game Battle was fun and interesting. This should be an annual or biannual type thing Ogreman! That took what, June, July and August? Maybe run another one starting in January, or is that too little time for things to change... Huh, what does everyone else think?

I think BP did great against a free game like Perfect World. Passing up Age of Conan was also impressive.

The tournament ran from June 1st until the end of August.

Hmmm, sounds like a good possibility. GameOgre usually runs a MMORPG showdown in the Review Directory towards the end of the year, but having something in the forum makes sense too. Of course, it can't be for Game of the Year if its not annual.

However, what about having something like a Game of the Forum etc every month? We would have one poll each month with a list of games from different genres and the winner would get a sticky profile for a month, would be listed in an archive as a month winner, and maybe some other type of recognition. It would give different games a chance to compete that way. How does that sound?
