Default Easter Event More Than Just an Event?

Who those that don't know Jagex completely shut out most ex-members by making the event non-playable if you have an item in your inventory.

Basically when your a member you get a bigger bank and you end up collecting a lot of stuff... well when you become a free player again your bank size gets limited meaning if your over the limit you can't bank anything without getting back under the limit for most people this would mean dropping at least 50 items they put time into getting for nothing. Normally this is not a problem but the latest event requires you have an empty inventory.

One of the things I hear a lot is well its your fault for having an item in for inventory... that's not true... the last event required you to put on an amulet which takes the place of your normal amulet and puts it in your inventory... if it's a members item you can't put it back on.

Which brings me back to the question... Easter event more than just an event? Was this just a plan to try to get more money? Or a strange coincident? Oddly enough they refuse to reply to anyone that has asked about it on the forum or stop anyone from flaming the people that asked about it.

I used to play runescape a few years ago, 4 years i believe.
Back then they treated Non-member A LOT more fairly.
Now at least 90% of the game is exclusive for members.
What jerks.
They should just boycott the game.
If only some other company opened a similar game, then everyone would move there

yea, i wish another company would do that, it would be very popular...but i think it's the money that runescape is making that keeps the game running

definitely- the member's experience is actually quite nice.
So many people are actually paying subscription for it.
I haven't spent a cent on the game- still got the most out of it.

Can't blame a game for wanting to make money.

Lol, true,
but they should have more features for free players.
Many members start off as free players.
they have to like the game first to be a member.
but o wellz
jagex's wellfare is not of my concern

Hmm, I would have to agree that this seems like a ploy to get more money.
