Best Antivirus Software for Playing MMORPGs?

I use Avast, but I also hear AVG is good, so you could check both of those out.

Free one that I'm using:
Panda Cloud Antivirus, I love this one, because it's based in the cloud, so it uses VERY little system memory.
Avira Antivir, more secure than Panda, it is a very good antivirus with a high detection rate, and doesn't use much system power, but uses more than Cloud Antivirus.

AVG i think is the best, easy and actually work

 

You can download the free version of AV, dont buy the ful one. usually full version requires so much memeory from pc

 

Avira is better than AVG imo, it has a better detection rate, and it uses up less memory.

I used AVG before but keeps detecting some launcher and game guard as a virus.. what a security.. LOL i cant play so I switch to Avast.. Tough security, easy to use and free to use. xD

 

Actually, I changed my mind. When MMORPGs, I think it's best to turn your antivirus off, it it isn't too much hassle. This is because your antivirus always checks through your files constantly, as well as taking up system resources, EVEN the very light Avira Antivir takes up 10k memory. All this might not sound like much, but it does slow down your system a bit, and if it's checking through the MMORPG's files as you're using them while playing, it can cause slow down, and plus, antiviruses can clash with MMORPG clients sometimes. Finally, you won't normally even need your antivirus on while playing MMORPGs. You're not browsing the web, you're not downloading anything, nothing is being put into your computer at that point (well, you shouldn't be anyway...). This means that turning your antivirus off can get you a little bit extra speed for nothing!

Oh, and my favourite antiviruses are still Panda Cloud Antivirus (only for careful people when browsing the web), and Avira Antivir (for everyone else).

 

I have used kasperski for several years now.

Time to time it blocks the executable but that can be changed easily and added to safe list, no problem blocking connections what so ever. Protecting wise it is quite good too, haven't had trouble with viruses for loooooong time

 

Think about it, while you are playing an MMORPG, the only thing you would be using that is connected to the internet is the MMORPG client. And you can't get viruses from playing an MMORPG. The most common way of getting viruses and spyware is going on the internet and visiting a bad website. Another way is for a hacker to hack into your computer and upload a virus. However, unless you are someone of importance that a hacker would take interest in, and somehow find out your antivirus is off through the MMORPG, then you have no worries.
