    But I guess we have to consider the fact that only a few around here play it (most of us don't, like me) and well, it's hard to judge a game without playing it

    Doesn't help the game has been riddled with outages and hackers. The upcoming Real Money Auction has drawn the attention of hackers... who will steal your account to get your items in preparation to sell the items for real money. Instead of selling on a black market like in WoW and other MMO's, Diablo makes it legal which draws even more hackers. I'm not sure Blizzard really thought this one out... they seen profit but obviously not the problems that come with it.

    REAL hackers might try to do that eventually. But for right now they are working on a (well I don't wanna delve too deep into this) a Private Server w/ Diablo cracked.

    But most of the 'hackers' are just going to create a phishing account, try to lure you to it and obtain your information. Which is what happens most of the time because children aren't informed about this. Really, this needs to be a basic 101 kinda thing parent to child. If the parent knows nothing, then they need to be taught. (This kinda goes against what I am today. I didn't really learn crud from my mom and my dad can barely type lol) Point is, kids today need to be informed when placed on a computer what is a bad link and what is alright.

    They should have taught this (well for me) in second grade honestly. But instead, they taught you how to open microsoft word basically.

    Okay well, maybe second grade is a little too young. You probably won't understand what the word 'malicious means' but teens between 6-8th grade usually start their 'internet phase' I would say around that time. When they start to jump in internet games and such. Not saying consoles, talking about computers =p.

    This would definitely be a problem though. They should have a similar function though (In Runescape) where if you log onto a different I.P. it locks your account. If this feature is ever added anyway, it needs to be fully sealed.



    HOWEVER! Keep this in mind, so long as you can freely trade, their is an in game accepted currency, and people willing to buy currency/items even if it means the chance of being banned, they will do it. Just so they can get ahead in a game. Not everyone has the 'luxury' to do so, but some people will do it just because they can.

    O yeah, will be plenty of them too, however the issue right now is real hackers. Quite a few people have came out and reported they've had accounts stolen or cleaned out, even been a few employees of simi-major gaming sites... not saying these people know security but it shows it not a bunch of 8 years old who are giving out their password. Blizzard has said they can't find anything that shows they've been compromised and suggest buying their Authenticator.

    I believe them however the number of people being hacked shows this isn't simply people with bad passwords or being stupid either. Quite a few theories going around.

    The real problem here is the real money auction, making the "black market" legal is drawing more interest from these creeps than usual and it's on Blizzard for not stepping up the security. The Authenticator should be free, especially because your forced to play online, therefor your forced to put your account at risk.

    Really? I've been told much different stories about WoW by several people.

    Such as (not just one person) people getting items back for no cost. I've been told after claiming to be hacked, Blizz will hand over your items you lost no problem. No questions asked.

    They are willing to roll back accounts to before being cleaned out which is great but this shouldn't be happening in the first place.
