    Physically clean a PC not clean it's software. Be very careful with software cleaning programs though, a lot of bad ones floating around the internet. Honestly software cleaning wise I wouldn't trust anything that isn't opensource, in this age your information is routinely trying to be collected by many different sources, everyone wants a piece.

    I'm not gonna go all tinfoil hat on you nor saying them two programs are bad as I really don't know but I do know you should be careful what you use on your PC especially when you're giving full access to it and telling it to scan your whole computer.

    CCleaner does appear to be a good one so far. Had WinThruster, but that was a joke with the constant bugging.

    Ok, spraying silicon did not help any. In fact, it made it worse lol. Probably going to have to just get a new fan.

    Yea, I am not able to leave the PC on like I used to because of the current problem which does impact my time online.

    Surely I can't contact dell after having the PC for almost five years right?

    I'm pretty sure they have some kinda of out of warranty service, it would cost of course but they would diagnose the problem and repair it.

    it's an old pc, it still works nicely, though I do notice it gets a bit older, especially with the flash updates

    we also have a windows 7 laptop, but I generally do my work on the old PC. It's because of the good keyboard and mouse. I do prefer windows 7 over Vista, heck XP is better, but compaired to windows 8, even Vista is better in my opinion.

    I saw people are cleaning up their computers, and they are cleanning things like dirt and spider's web :D How can i do that on my laptop? :shout:
