Connecting to MU*'s with PUTTY

To connect to a MUD, you will need a telnet client, such as PUTTY. I recommend PUTTY because of it's wide MU* compatibility, and it's ease of use. Download it here: PuTTY: a free telnet/ssh client

Once you open PUTTY, your screen will look like this:


In 1: Enter the host name, such as alt.nethack.org
In 2: Enter the port, such as 23
Save your settings in 3.

MAKE SURE TO SELECT TELNET, AND NOT SSH!

There ya go! Follow the directons on screen to make your account!
