    Empire: Total War for battle sim on the troop level as everything else is all pretty basic in my opinion. Europa Universalis focuses more on management on a country level. Combat is pretty bland but the rest of the game is vary deep.

    I prefer Europa.

    Gotta agree with those that vote Total War. I've been addicted to the Total War series, the gameplay is just phenomenal; having the ability to control troops and lead them to victories.
