    Looks like my gaming PC's fan is almost gone. It has times of being very quiet and then it sounds like it will break completely. It is starting to squeal and whine too.

    Ok, silicon does not seem to work, at least where I put it. The fan is own something that I cant take off because it is screwed in within a very short distance.

    Considering the new problem it has caused it's probably a good time to get a professional to look at it that can at least diagnose the problem to see what you're up against. It also might not be a good idea to use it at all until it's checked out just encase it's an issue that can cause further damage.

    True, will probably have to get Dell back on it. They do offer remote assistance and diagnostics which must be done from the PC. That or possibly sending you the codes you don't have yet will be about the only reason my big rig will be started until it is fixed.
