    Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make people stay longer on the site? This could be an online game that we could install or possibly a social features etc. Since there are so many differing time zones it would be great to find a way to get more people together easier:).

    Hmmm, that is probably a question every site thinks about, how to lure more members that will become active and stay longer :)
    There is no obvious answer, we just need to continue what we are doing, maybe add more content to the forum and if people recognize our work and effort, they will stay :)

    You would be surprised what can be learned from asking for suggestions:). If we can make the site more welcoming to members easily, we will do that. Of course, the one obvious answer that most may say is cards, but that is just a result and something we already have. Need to find something that will be more fun to everybody:).

    Monthly LoL tournamnet is a good option, a lot of people play LoL and that is something that would make them come back every month :)

    I do not agree with you that a lot of people play lol!
    Here for example I do not like lol.
    Many of my friends do not like lol.
    Of course, the easiest way is the most difficult! cards!
    and bonus codes for the most popular games!
    All this spiced up with a mixture of little things t-shirts, pendants, mauspads, bags, unique things from games.
    My suggestion to you is: Assemble a small group of people who can and want to go to shows / paxs, Eurogamer Expo, GameStop Expo, etc. ....

    and then, those things give away here on the site through sweepstakes and contests.

    Well,I am also a member of Ubuntuforums as well. And there is this concept of coffee and beans. they're just like posts and all but with a twist.The first time i joined,I got curious and looked up their 'welcome' post and it did say that there isn't an reputation system.

    Doesn't mean that not a lot of people play LoL. For example, none of my friends here at school play LoL. It's still played by a large portion of gameogre usrs. It has 32 million registered users, with peaks of over half a million online at any given time.
    So basically... I don't like League of Legends either, but our like or dislike for something has nothing to do with its actual popularity. Incidentally, I also don't like World of Tanks, and don't know a single person who does. That doesn't mean not a lot of people like it.

    Better to say, perhaps, that a recurring League of Legends tournament wouldn't work for you (or for me), but without denying that it would totally work for other people. Mustn't mix opinion with fact. Constructive criticism is good.

    I've been on that Forum and I'm sure some use the Beans as motivation but the vast majority on there are there for Ubuntu (Mostly Support Questions). They could absolutely care less about beans and coffee.

    Please stay on topic in this thread with constructive suggestions:). As mentioned before, cards are not what we are looking for here in this thread. We already know people want cards as we have many in the shop, but that does not improve the site or its stickiness.

    Looking for things we can add to help user experience such as plug-ins, content, or possible creative themes. Different ideas with social media or partnering with certain games could also help:).

    I think forum events will help.But you could like make a board at the home page like a notice to show that they are in progress or like that.The new members should know there are stuff like that

    What I am saying is that........I'll tell you what I'm picturing.:)
    The hompage of the gameogre forum with,on the right side, a table or a little board with the important notices,updates,giveaways,events.....the works.The same is in the ogre newsletter but I dont know if some people bother to check it.So if there is a notice board or whatever you call it,on the homepage,the users will know there's stuff like this going on.But the homepage will be a bit cramped:D

    tell me you got the idea.

    The homepage covers some of that already but I'd agree it's not perfect and making it more clear "what's new" is a good idea. I think it's something that needs to be done on the Homepage and not on the Forums though.
