How badly does the Wii suck?

I don't think the Wii is too bad. It does have my favorite series of games on it(Super Smash Bros.) and a couple of other games that I think a quite fun. I haven't tried the PS3 or Xbox version of the Wii but if they are anything close or better, then I would rather play them.

 

Option no. 7, purely because my friends and I kill each other in Mario Kart once in a very long while when we're in a basement with nothing else to do. :\

I dont think the wii bad at all.

Besides the games that may be available there is little difference in the Move and the wii controller IMO.

The Kinect I think is better than both however the lack of available games holds the Kinect back as well.

 

Honestly the wii doesnt suck nearly as much as you might think. Graphics and capabilities are obviously lacking, however nintendo tries to make up with content and gameplay. Obviously since the wii is so different, games ported to the wii are not as good as those for other systems, but the ones that prevail are those that were made specifically for the wii like SSBB, No More Heros, Metroid Prime 3, and others. in short, yes its lacking compared to other consoles but its good in its own way.

- The Move is basicaly a cloned the wiimote, and atleast kinnect tried to be different but being controllerless its going to have its flaws and wont always pick up movements correctly. (i don't know about you but id prefer to have a controller firmly planted in my hand when gaming) The kinnect was a good idea, but it doesn't impress me as is... but from it things will only get better in the next gen

I hate those games after I bought a PSP...

Sony is far better in Console RPG than Nintendo...

 

Wii looked like a lot of fun.. until I got one. Then I went back to playing PS2. Since I got my 360 Elite I've probably played it like 3 or 4 times. I gave it the "7" option because I sometimes will play my brother or cousins in Mario Kart. I guess the reason I dislike it so much is because I spent all this money on games that I thought be "the game" that gets you into the console. Like for PS2 it was Jak and Daxter. For Xbox it was Halo. For Gamecube it was Zelda Wind Waker. For Wii I thought it would be New Super Mario Bros. It wasn't. I thought it would be Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It wasn't. I guess Mario Kart kinda comes close but nothing like any attraction I've ever had to another gaming console before..

 

That's pretty much it. I was into the Wii up until I actually got one.

 

jah i know what you guys mean, i only really play consoles when friends come over, in my opinion wii is more of a specialized system... If you get wii just get SSBB, Mario Kart, And a good shooter like 007 goldeneye or new cod. If you want every game u get to be good then go for xbox, i put a few games are good

 

tbh i've probably played wii sports which came free w/ the console more than ssbb and new. super mario bros. which cost $100+ together. :/

gameplay>graphic?

to some yes.
to others no.

 

gameplay means more than graphics. and there are fps for the wii (black ops, modern warfare, world at war). it's a matter of personal preference though, for me i like to physically be holding a traditional controller.

The Wii, in all honesty, isn't a bad system overall. It's just lagging behind compared to more well-established systems like, as we mentioned, the Xbox. It had potential, but the lack of true console games and playability outside movement/sports/dance games hurts it somewhat.

 

only trust big company names for wii.
