HTTPS Protocol on Forum and Blog

Was putting this off a little due to the fact that URLS will change, but it looks like Chrome is picking it up on the Forum and Blog now and labeling them not secure because we collect passwords.

Not sure of the downtime involved but it could cause URL problems again. The one thing that may prevent that is having to redirect from the old "unsecure" pages so it could be seamless from that end. Anyway, just letting everybody know what is going on.

 

In the meantime, MMORPG and Online Game Forums can be used if anybody has an issue with that. In fact, anybody can just add an S to make that happen. I did it on the menu and now all my pages on the forum are secure.

Basically, we need the whole site to do that automatically and may have to change some links to include the S.

Ok, the blog is now HTTPS minus a few non-WP links and pages.

The forum can take it, but is not constant yet. .

 

Well, I can fix the menu of the blog fairly easily. The forum especially this skin may be a bit tougher. However, will change that as soon as I find it.

 

Ok, the blog is now updated via the menu as well. Also included a couple of links to here with an S so could start there to easily get on the forum in HTTPS. Next is figuring out the forum menu.

 

That homepage problem should now be fixed.

 

Looks like the final stage for this will be forcing the forum to stay on HTTPS. The blog doesn't seem to need that.

Yea, going to try that this week.

In the meantime, I was unable to login from the old URL tonight. When I went to login, the login screen kept coming back up. However, when I clicked on home and went to the S I was already logged on. So it may not be as easy as the blog was as far as the secure protocol is concerned, but it seems to be moving towards it at least.
