Manual HackShield Update

Hello Maplers,

For those of you that would like to manually receive the HackShield update or if you experience any issues updating HackShield automatically, please use the instructions below. Please remember that you should not update HackShield until the maintenance has begun or you will not be able to play MapleStory.

Note: You must be comfortable working with Windows files to perform these steps!

1) Download HShield_v119
2) Make a note of where you downloaded the file, typically: My Documents\Downloads
3) WAIT! Do not proceed until the game is down for maintenance.
4) Locate your MapleStory installation folder (typically C:\Nexon\MapleStory\)
5) Locate your HackShield folder, HShield, within your MapleStory installation folder
6) Make a backup copy of your HackShield folder
7) Delete all the files in your HackShield folder
8) Open the folder where the HackShield update was downloaded and open HShield_v119.zip
9) Extract the files of HShield_v119.zip into your HackShield folder
10) Once the game is available again start MapleStory normally.
