    Hmmmmmm, used to be a shooter called Strife like that but was not a hit. These days, STALKER and maybe Dark Messiah of Might and Magic?

    Read the title of the thread MMORPG/shooter it says MMO and dark messiah doesn't even have guns.

    Unfortunantly the MMOFPS/RPG genre is in it's infancy, even though it's been around for a while... I don't think I've played one that really does it well, although it looks like Huxley might be the closest thing to what you're looking for. Jumpgate Evolution might suit the bill as well, but I don't know too much about either game yet.

    Yeah Huxley looks cool and Jumpgate Evolution looks a lot like EVE. Thanks for the info.

    I think it was the first to attempt to cover this area, but it didn't quite hit the rpg threshold like it should have.

    You could wait for Huxley. Or, there is Gunz, I've never played it my self but I hear it's like FPS. There is also a game called Endless Ages, which may be what you're looking for, it's totally free and it controls like FPS. There is also Hellgate London, that has the Marksman class which controls like an FPS, that game isn't great though. The Agency is also coming out, it is a spy themed MMOFPS.

    Gunz is cool but has its problems and a bad community. Helllgate London did good overseas but bombed in the US trying to be a MMORPG. Endless Ages is a subpar game that went offline and came back at least one time. Huxly and The Agency are really the only hopes for good MMO shooters.
