nami vs morgana

I like more nami

 

in a nami vs morgana matchup, morgana will 80% of the time beat nami and just otherwise render her useless in lane.
that aside, yes, i am better nami myself.

Why would a support need to heal anyone? I didn't see Leona or Braum healing people randomly..

Back on topic, I like Nami more for what she brings to the table:
PROS:
- Nice AOE CC Bubble
- Ebb and Flow which is actually great for trades if you can get 3 bounces (or 2 for early poke)
- Decent AD boost
- Ult that covers quite a bit of space. (And which you can easily use to steal Dragon/Baron is it's not Jungler that's doing it or it has no smite.)
- Great teamfight presence
- Nice MS boost which makes it easier to dodge, run, chase

CONS:
- Quite mana hungry early on (Heck, if I have AD mid, I ask for Blue Buff )
- Bubble is easily avoided
- Ebb and Flow isn't worth the cost if it doesn't bounce at all
- AD steroid is worth only if ADC attacks enemies, not bloody CREEPS (Unless under tower.)
- Ult is easily avoided.

As for Morgana, I'd say she depends on her reflexes more as she needs to shield in right time.
PROS:
- Snare lasts quite long
- W can get you bunch of money with early Frostfang (10g per sec per enemy), push with it is decent after getting Hourglass
- Shield counters bunch of ADCs and Supports, and later anybody with CC in teamfights
- Ult deals dmg twice if done correctly, stuns up to 5 people too
- Has wings

CONS:
- Mana hungry early on
- She needs Hourglass early on
- Snare is easily dodged
- W deals close to no dmg until you have items and can be used solely as money stealing ability
- Shield HAS to be times correctly and you can shield only one person, meaning others are unprotected.
- Ult is easily dodged

Anyhow, both bring to the table quite a bit, and Morgana is better in some team compositions then Nami, but also vice-versa.

I'd take Morgana against Leona or Braum simply to counter them, otherwise I'd go with Nami.
In lane Morgana should win, but a good Nami will pick up soon enough is Morg is shielding herself or ADC more and start focusing the other one. It's a mind game of bot lane, never ending support fights.
In teamfight, I prefer Nami again: Speed boost people get when running over your ult and AOE knock up, AD steroid, AOE stun and bouncing heals doing dmg? Heck, she's the support I enjoy playing because of her playstyle.
