Ogre Adventures and MOBAs Event Discussion

Ok, this is the discussion thread for http://www.gameogre.com/forums/game-news/67140-ogre-adventures-mobas.html May add some more to this with MOBas. If anybody has any ideas for that, let me know.

Also, this should be about the Event in general. If you have a comment on somebody else's items, please send me a PM instead of posting here.

 

Keep in mind that this is where any comments about the Event should be made since the Event itself is used for claiming items only.

 

Due to the circumstances today, will allow two days worth of stuff to be reported tomorrow if you did not post anything today.

 

Ok, added a thing in the first post to where you should PM me if you have a comment on somebody else's items. Need to make that official because it has started some trouble in past events.

Yes, it counts as one per day of different each time. Could do 5 reviews total counting those.

On Topic means to respond to the subject of the thread and post. For example, if the the topic is Nintendo 64 in Retro, you should be talking about Nintendo 64 games and not something like mobile games or MOBAs.

Those who drop to do only 10 points a day may not be eligible for the monthly Steam Drawing from now on. Dropping most activities and doing something like Forum games most of the time is not what an Iron Ogre is.

In fact, went ahead and rewarded the guy today who made an actual effort.

 

Double activation will start sometime this week.

Fourth to 10th place is still wide open and third is still attainable, especially with double points.

 

Ok, Double Points activation has started.

Double Points Activation:

Posting at least once in every forum (not sub-forums) of Online Games - GameOgre.com Free MMORPG Forums = 250 Points (once per day and can not be the same post over and over)

1. Wiki and subforums can be skipped.
2. All the post must be at one time in the same day. Past posts in a forum do not count at all.
3. Try to make them as decent as possible so a mod does not delete them. For example, saying something like "That's good" every time will not do it lol.

 

Ok, the 10 point thing is starting to be a problem. The problem is that it accomplishes nothing and is starting to be copied more and more. Its pretty bad when 5 or more people are doing it and the double point activation gets ignored.

Think Ufbre posting just 10 points every time is like the Chat Monster in chat. He may have his place, but that does not mean I want two or more Chat Monsters lol.

 

Hmmmm, considering triple points for the first time ever. Besides the top two spots who are doing great and continuing that to the point they are in good shape to be the next Royal Ogres, the rest of this Event has been very disappointing. The 10 point every day item has caught on in a bad way to the point that not one person has tried the double points activation yet.

Not going to rant about it, but I will say this: Any Royal Ogre that has an activity bar of 50% or lower will likely be knocked down from that group if they can report nothing except 10 points every day. By the same token, blatantly showing that lack of effort even if it is everyday is not a great path for aspiring Royal Ogres lol. Just five posts is worth 75 points.

Anyway, may offer triple points up to a certain point level to the first one who actually does the double points activation.
