    It would make the showdown faster, though I'm not sure if that's good or bad. It would make the showdown faster to start which is good but it might leave out some good games in the showdown. It doesn't really matter for me if it's 8 or 16 games as long as it will be good :p

    In that case, perhaps you could make a 12 game showdown, with 8 games competing in the first round and 4 others (favorites) joining them in the second round. Would be faster than 16 games showdown, and would leave out less good games than 8 games showdown

    I think the last winner should proceed at least. Or we could just make a poll where you nominate shooters. Top 12 makes it to the showdown and top 4 advances to the next round.
