Some decent MMOs

aika and darkfall are two of the best.

 

Mortal Online has potential to get better after they add more content so that's one you may look into later on.

 

Well, if you are still taking requests you can always try Ryzom. I know that around here I'm kind of expected to plug this game, but I mean it. We have wars between different players and guilds all the time, the graphics are pretty good, and it's cheaper than WoW. I have been playing that game for awhile now and I still haven't mastered everything and there are still creatures in-game that can rip me to shreds with great ease. It can get pretty dificult. But I enjoy the challenge.

 

didn't ryzom try to go to f2p at one time?

 

Lord of the Ring Online is a better choice with the f2p option.

 

Im the type of gamer whos interested in gameplay over graphics, and im into questing with the storyline and lore.

So thats why i play...Runescape.

I dont really care about graphics, plus I love the story and quests. I like the RS unique quests.

My interest in story was what led me to play woW for 8-9 months but those really, really crappy quests found in almost ALL MMOs these days just didnt cut it.

 

I prefer gameplay over graphics too. Just look at the Final Fantasy MMOs as examples of games that looked great but did not have exciting gameplay.
