OBS is pretty useful for streaming live videos, and you can make your live videos look nice on OBS as well by adding images, borders, and scenes. For video editing, I prefer Adobe Premiere over Sony Vegas because Premiere has more editing features, but it might be a bit expensive and the Creative Cloud is subscription-based. Sony Vegas is quite useful and you can find some great tutorials on YouTube and maybe on Lynda.com.

I can never afford a sony vegas; cost over 600 dollars. However, I've heard many great reviews on it's editing system on videos.

Agree with Snowy, it's another easy way of editing and free. Mainly streamers use this type engine.

I also heard about Adobe Premier Pro CC which is similar to Sony Vegas but I haven't tried it yet.

Already used Premier for my GoPro vids. I needed some videos in rectilinear view and had to correct the fish eye. This helped me.

Try something easier for the start. If you havent done any video even, then star with Windows MovieMaker just for practise.

Always wanted to get into making videos and editing, but it seems to be a very time-consuming hobby I could never find time for!
