I just quickly made this for fun when reading this topic.

I'm don't have any experience in making comics. Although I do have an idea on how you should probably start something like this off. To get things started you should probably try to make some kind of template. Make a character, and make a lot of face expressions and movements for it that are easy to put together. If you do that you'll spend less time making the actual comics, and more on ideas.

If you find a truly amazing artist you could try to have him/her draw everything again for every comic.



I didn't really know what to make of the comic, but I felt like making something... The grammar mistakes were on purpose since I figured an ogre doesn't follow all these rules

^ Gonna answer this question from the introduction forum here so we're in the right place to discuss this.

I would be willing to help out where I can. If you can find some more people so we have a "team" to work on it that would be great. I'm not really the greatest artist around, but I could help with making some templates of characters and such. Once these are made anyone with basic photoshop knowledge could put together a GameOgre comic.

Before actually getting started on something we should probably figure out what these comics would be about.
What style of comic will it be?
How many main characters in the comic? Human/Ogre characters?
Is there a storyline or just short separate comics?
...

I was waiting to see what ChiYeon had to say about his experience in web comics. Since I myself have none, it would be nice to hear more from him.

@Skylar: If you want to do some writing for it you could probably start thinking of some characters. Unless someone else joins in to help me, I guess I'll be making/drawing the characters. If you can describe some characters I could base the design on that.


I won't be able to draw a lot right now since I have exams till 11th of June. I did draw an Ogre head during a break though.



Still have to do the shading, eyes, some hair, and the body off course. Drawing a head is the easiest though so I hope I'll manage to do a good job on the body.

 

korean webcomic are the only webcomics that I read so far. The layout was just 1 page and read it from top to bottom. That reading style is easier since it's on 1 page. I viewed some scanlation groups how they made them. usally they spilled that long page into many pieces and translate them and put the english text in it. There aren't that many borders in the webcomics and it looks similar to a manga, but we need a simple layout for a simple story. It would be nice to have someone with a drawing tablet to draw the webcomic (I don't have one yet.) but with the hand should be fine too, I think, so we need a solid or simple story to begin with and some character designs.
