The Ogre has missed a few of the recent Humble Bundles, but this one was too good to pass up:). Furthermore, both the forum and the blog theme have changed on GameOgre.com since our last coverage of a Humble Bundle. Now we can add videos of each game to get a faster look at whether a game catches your eye or not.

Speaking of, one of the games in this bundle drew in my attention right away and has kept it ever since despite a long ridiculous name:). Luckily, Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball was in the beat the average tier instead of the top tier. Although I like the overall bundle and its theme of Showdowns, the dodgeball game beat all the other games combined as far as I am concerned. This includes the top tier game or game set since it is so limited to local multiplayer only and one of the main component games requires Mac or Linux.

RRDDD is special since it has a vast array of modes, customization, the Steam Workshop, great music, colorful yet dark environments that are easy on the eyes, and just fun gameplay. Despite the title and balls flying around, it is a basically a shooter tournament game in the spirit of Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament. That premise is definitely innovated and considerably improved here. There is also a kid friendly twist because of no blood (they are robots afterall). The kicker for me was that you can add the logo of your clan to the back of the robot:). That means my robot has a GameOgre logo on its back which represents a first that I have ever seen.

Here are the games and respective price points. I was able to get the average games and below for just $2.62.

 Super Slam Showdown Bundle:

$1 or More Tier:

Phantom Breaker: Battlegrounds – Arcade style fighter from Japan.

Stardust Vanguards – Local co-op game where players duel.

No Time to Explain Remastered – Off the wall platformer.

Beat the Average Tier:

Dive Kick – Two button fighting game.

Robot Roller-Derby Disco Dodgeball

$7 and Above Tier:

Sportsfriends – Set of local co-op games.
