Unawares to them Warcraft1 was going to be Warhammer for computer at first.
Everyone copies everyone, but Blizzard took it to a whole new level, because GamesWorkShop were the first ones to use orcs this way. You know, green and all.
Blizzard even copied Warhammer40k. The zerg are 100% the same as a race in warhammer40k. SpaceM are the same, also the protose are like the eldar!

Comment: This game looks to good to be true! But we do not know for sure if it will come our or not. I guess all we can do is wait and see what happens.
And for the people that think that Darkfall has been in the works for 7 years are wrong. Because they scrapped everything and started again from 2003.
I also really hate the rookie WoW gamers that bad mouth this game before it is even out.

Comment: Maplestory is the first mmorpg I have ever played and the only one I actually played a lot. I've play a lot less since september, and only come on to talk to frieands. I'm a level 162 Hero, and don't try to level much any more. What I like about the game is how you can get up to level 200 (There are only 2 level 200s)I don't play as much any more because the game doesn't have updates very fast(I've played since beta), at the start it was adding new citys and islands for a while but then stoped with major updates for along time. Compared to Korean Maple Story wich much more advanced, sure it's been out for longer but Gloabal Maplestory (the one I play) has been out for about three years, when kms got to three years it was almost douple as advanced as GMS.
It's a great game and awesome for socializing with friends. Also with a nice happy feel. Theres also a Cash Shop where you can buy cloths for your characters for reall money. I'm not sure how stable the econemy is now since I don't play much anymore, but when I played it was pretty good. They did add this trading sytem where you can buy and sell stuff for NX ( NX is the points you purchese with reall money to buy cloths) so if you don't like to pay money you can sell stuff for NX now. Puchesing NX does enhance gameplay a lot, you can get 2x exp and other things. I recomend this game for people who don't want pay to play, and want a nice funn happy community.

Comment: I second that smooth12; you people should really explore more what GE is all about & not just judge on what it can or cannot do. Sometimes you've got to think outside the box, it's just really common sense think about it, if there's no auto loot can you pick up ALL the loot manually while attacking the fast mob monsters at the same time? & even if you say that it's super easy to level up w/ the kind of strategy GE has to offer, then can you level up ALL characters up to the 5th barracks in just a month or so? I doubt it. Also YOU have a choice if you want to leave your character in AFK mode, but there IS a disadvantage in that you know, what if a super rare item, unique & elites dropped then you couldn't pick it up because your character is on attack mode. Another disadvantage is that there is NO safe spot in GE if you AFK, your character will DIE sooner or later because of the ability of the monsters to cause knockback & once your character is hit & stood up again the command will stop. Also some people think that it's not okay if there's no death toll (except for PK player kill)then let me ask you this, can you count how many times you have DIED from lvl 1 to 127 just because of the lag, colony wars, boss raids & super mobs that you can't handle? And lastly this game has finally solved the looting problem that some MMORPG still has (e.g. Ragnarok) you cannot pick the item not unless the other family kills or had the first attack on the monster.
Then there's this appearance problem, it's true that you can't change the faces of your characters but there's one thing I DO know that all other MMORPG couldn't do that GE characters CAN DO; Its through their poses. You can choose your pose & print screen it so you can create comic strips out of it. You CAN change the way they look through wearing glasses, wigs, backpacks, costumes or whatever accessories.
So how come this game is just like all the rest of the MMORPG you've played? There are tons of differences especially the very unique RNPC style & the very genre of the game set in 17th century time, where all the places were actually REAL & existed in the real world & not just created for the sake of playing it.
The sounds were awesome & practically the music synchronizes w/ the events depending on what is happening, also another difference w/ other MMORPG is that there is a jukebox where you can CHOOSE what ever song you like & not just repeat & repeat the song w/c you hate until you puke.
The only disappointment for me is that when you talk to the NPC there's no voice & some bugs here & there. Also I have to admit that GE has some money grabbing tactics that shouldn't be sometimes proper & also has a long way to go to achieve a perfect MMORPG game. I'll rate this 8 for now!!!

Comment: this game is good it grabs your attention for the first few days but in my opinion there are better games
pros:um >.> i dont think there is any except for the fact that its a mud with graphics
cons: 1)the admins are evil they dont listen to the players much
2)its made by 2 people only no one else although it does have some shared stuff like music making anticipated patches take months sometimes years to come by
3) recently the admins have been severly making it hard for players both on the low end and high end of exp really weak
4)you can solo the whole game
5) your basically a warrior until 50mil exp which can take months
theory find another game this one isnt worth the space on your hard drive

Pros:
-Skills are hot
-pvp is fun and balanced
-guilds are helpful
-economy is good
-community is nice and will help noobies
-Easy to level
-Great graphics
Cons:
-This game would be perfect if it only had more detail to the quests.... I find it hard to play for more than 1 hour because skill grinding makes you want to pluck pubic hairs slowly and painfully. Levels dont matter, its all about skill rank. If your a nerd like me and get to A.Master/A.Master by level 56, congratulations, you'll do good, but if you dont want to spend over 24 hours skill grinding, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME!!!!! The quests are fun until you get to level 30+, then its the same thing over and over again. Again, great game, justs needs more features. Dont be fooled by the premium service, its good, but this game isnt worth paying for. My name is Falith on world Venus. Guild is Ruin. I'm open for questions for new players. Also, if this game doesnt satisfie you, play Perfect World, personally, i'll probably quit Cabal sooner or later to dedicate my mmorpg playing time to Perfect World (its a free wow xD, it rox)!
