Good news game lovers! The social network magnet Facebook has decided to join hands with the leading game developer company Unity Technologies to create a new separate platform for online gaming. The move is being considered as a huge one that will greatly impact the gaming industry as both game developers, and online gamers can benefit from this unique collaboration.

The Vice President of the Business Development department of Unity Technologies Mr. Elliot Solomon recently said in an interview that though developers put their heart and soul into developing the games, they often face a big challenge in integrating the same with the huge network of Facebook to make them available to the players.

The present situation requires a lot of effort on the part of the game developers in publishing their games on Facebook. But with this new collaboration, not only will the game developers at Unity be able to reap the benefits of the huge number of players on Facebook but also will have easy access tools to Facebook’s network. This will be highly beneficial to the developers as they will be able to reach out to millions of gamers without having to bear the headache of marketing them, for Facebook’s huge network will take care of that.

Not only that, Unity Support is presently working on a gaming platform for PCs, and the integration will mean that developers will not only have access to the millions of players who flock to the social media site regularly, but also tap in the potentiality of the huge base of PC gamers, thus uniting the gaming community. This will hugely benefit the developers as according to the recent stats, web game developers earned around $2.5 billion from Facebook and with a large audience base and a cross-platform approach, the overall earnings are estimated to rise significantly.

For avid gamers, this will create an opportunity like never before as they will now be able to play not only PC games on the platform being developed but also those that they liked playing on Facebook, thus creating a seamless experience for regular and enthusiastic gamers.

The scope of the collaboration doesn’t end here. Unity’s cross-platform gaming engine will bring into the scenario its AR, VR, 3D and 2D technologies which, when combined with the game development tools from Facebook will create a wide scope for the developers. The gamers will benefit from this collaboration as well because the new gaming platform will include all the fun and interesting games from the treasures of Facebook as well as serious games that are preferred by the hardcore gamers and cyber gaming professionals.

The sole aim of the integration is providing a gaming platform that will be liked and used by all types of players across the world. It will create a unique opportunity for the players to easily find games that they like, share them with their friends and family and have the best time playing cyber games. Switching from light, mind refreshing games like Farmville to intense RPG games will now be very easy for the gamers. The new platform will blend in games to suit various moods and various interests.

The development of the platform is underway and developers who are in keen on laying their hands on the same can access the 5.4 alpha version of Unity from 31st August. The version will allow the developers to develop games and export the same to Facebook as well as the new platform being developed. The alpha version will initially be available only to a limited number of developers. Those who are not on the list can apply for the access till 31st August to see how the platform works.

With two giants joining their hands on the project, the initiative is sure to be a big hit, amongst both developers and gamers. It can change the present scenario of the gaming industry and make it easy for both players and developers. Till then, all you can do is play super diamond deluxe at William Hill that will give you a great opportunity to have some fun playing online, and you can also earn a good amount of money if you are able to win the game.
