Auctions?

Does anybody really want to try auctions? Our first attempt at that was not well received, but we could try it once since it has been ages.

However, be careful what you wish for because anybody who is going to complain should not even enter an auction. Those that do will need to follow rules or it wont work.

That said, we can start with an item and see how that goes. Of course, the no repeat item rule would have to be waved to give this true value.

If the auctions do work well enough to become regular, the most often we will do one is once a week.

 

Not an item released each week, but an item up for auction (which could be also be a month).

The only reason/upside of this is for those who want additional items and are willing to pay for them. Currently, they can buy each item only once and there has been a strong demand by some members to buy additional copies. This would fill that need on a limited basis while allowing them to use points that have built up.

 

Yea, after giving it some thought, that would be the only reason to have them again. The first time we did not have a good shop like now and it was still not received well.

 

Auctions would mainly be for those that already have a lot of forum points.

 

After giving this some thought, we are going to hold Auctions only for those that participate in the Event. This rewards the ones who stay active.

 

The only exception would be a game that is in high demand that is not going in the shop. If we did one of those, it would be for Royal Ogres only.

 

Votes for seeing if members want auctions? We could do that, but still not going to have auctions for members who are no longer active and just want to cash out their remaining points. That is why it needs to be only active Event members. Its also why Iron Ogres get the extra benefit because they keep going.

Votes for games? Maybe on that one, but it would be hard since it may just happen randomly.
