New loot system!

    • Loot System Update!
      • Your Loot right remains even after the you die. (Voted #1 best improvement in this patch)
      • The 1st player to attack a mob will always be eligible for loot.
      • Other players who attack will be eligible for loot once the pass the 'threat threshold'.
    • However, logging off or switching maps will remove you from loot eligibility.
    What do you think of the new loot system added in this recent update?

    Fixed one of my biggest fustrations in-game; dying while tanking and losing the drop. :)

    I do like this improved loot system! It's nice that you are still able to get the loot even after you die, if you are eligible to get it anyway.
    Bugged? How is chest loot bugged exactly? Do you mean like everyone won't get it because of this new loot system or what?

    that's it the update was supposed to be applicable on monsters only not the chest.

    You build threat as you attack. It's pretty much the willingness of the monster to attack you. Whoever has the most get's targeted. Tanks generate a lot of threat through skills so healers and DPS (DPS also cause a lot of threat) who are usually squishy compared to Tanks don't get targeted. It'll play a larger factor in raids.

    Anyways, I think they implemented this so people can't just stand around not helping, and attack the last second and still get the drop.

    I must say this update did solve a big issue with the monster drops... I cant count how many times i died because i was tanking the boss/monster and lost the drops.. This way people who just hit once and dont help at all get nothing and the ones that do are rewarded even if they die!!!

    I can agree with the first part on the new loot system, but the second and third part is a bit unfair, especially for players who are hunting for chests in dungeons.

    This is the reason why i farm solo and i have been doing so since i started chest runs because it used to be faster back then. It would be faster to farm with more people, but i still prefer going solo so i won't miss any chest loot. My stance will likely change when we get new dungeons with chest loot that have more tanky mobs and bosses to deal with.
