On 18 December 2019, Runescape's Java client was phased out and now NXT is Runescape's main client. I used that Java client to the very end because I was skeptical to transfer over from it to NXT. How good is this NXT client compared to Java client?

It's very good. The view distance increase alone is a massive game changer. The game is smoother and prettier than ever. Optimization of the NXT client has improved a lot, so that's not been a real issue anymore either. It's not perfect but I feel it was a very good update for RuneScape.

I would play with view distance similar what Java client used because that increased view distance can kinda ruin some areas.

When you use that increased view distance in areas which weren't made with that in mind. It does kinda ruin them for me. I see things in a way I am not supposed to.
