    Your computer?, or internet?

Check your internet speed here, chose the closest server to where you live.

this may be kind of vague, but my comp has 1gig ram and i use cacheman to free it up to about 600-700 megs available, is this all I can free up? Or may there be something other than required system programs taking it up?

Try using Task Manger too close all other programs that you are not using, other then that you have too buy more RAM.

Also, if you want, you can download this

    Or just:

    1. Right-click on your desktop and select New > Shortcut
    2. In the text box enter the command:
    %windir%\system32\rundll32.exe advapi32.dll,ProcessIdleTasks
    3. Click Next. In the next screen, name the shortcut: for example, Clear Memory
    4. Click on Finish

Whenever you feel that the system is sluggish you can double click on this shortcut and it will take care of the idle tasks by removing them. This can be used before you resort to restarting/rebooting the system.

DISCLAIMER: This tip requires changes to processes/components that may lead to undesirable system behavior. While I personally test all tips before publishing them, I don't take responsibility for the potential side effects of tips.

You know 'Adobe Soundbooth'? Well, it doesn't even open in my laptop(Win XP), and in my cousin's laptop(Win 7), it opens fine. What do I do now? I have also re-installed it twice. No luck.

Is it a retail version, or a "free" version?. Is it CS4 or CS5?

Another thing you can try is editing your startup options if your running Windows XP Pro. (I don't think its possible on Home I have only used Pro so, also might work for Vista or Seven but I don't have them so I don't know right now)

Anyways open your start menu and click 'Run...'
    Type 'msconfig' and hit enter.
At the top you have multiple tabs, we are looking for 'Services' and 'Startup'.
    Start by clicking on 'Services'.
In the lower left corner will be a check box labeled 'Hide All Microsoft Services'.
    Make sure it is checked.
Now you should have a short list of services that start when you turn on your computer.
I would recommend unchecking everything except your anti virus, also if you have a third-party firewall you'll want to leave it checked.
    Next go to 'Startup'.
Same thing here uncheck all except your anti virus and third party firewalls.
Now just click ok and restart your computer.

Once you login again you'll have a little message about changing the settings.
Go ahead and check don't show this again and your good to go.
You'll probably want to check this every once in a while to make sure nothing else has set itself to start with Windows.
