I love Terraria and Haven't honestly seen anything in the new .6 update o_o. I THOUGHT I read in the Steam News Column under Terraria that EXP and Harder game elements were to be expected.

This is yet another 1.1 spoiler, however, it looks like it may be in near completion.

From the video and spoiler stuff here is a small list of what we are getting. Note there is most likely A LOT more.

New items


Hallowed Seeds, which can be planted to create an "anti-corruption" biome (which stops the Corruption from spreading).
Dropped by destroying Demon Altars
New Ores: (One of them appears in the world every time you break a Demon Altar)
Cobalt Ore
Mythril Ore
Adamantite Ore
New Sets/Tiers
Set of Cobalt items:
Cobalt Armor (re-introduction).
Set of Mithril items:
Mithril Armor
Drill (mining device).
Mythril Repeater (Ranged Weapon)
Set of red items:
Adamantine Armor (appears to have a vibrating effect).
Adamantine Glaive
Adamantine Drill
Adamantine Chainsaw
Set of white/gold items:
Excaliber
Pwnhammer (name most likely will change…)
New flail.
Holy Water.
A purple version of Holy Water.
At least five new accessories.
Light blue-colored boots which appear to be a variant/sprite update of the Hermes Boots (or Rocket Boots).
Light blue-colored teardrop-shaped item. Looks to be a balloon with a cloud inside.
Some sort of rectangular device which appears to have a screen (could be a sprite update for the Depth Meter).
Orange-colored snorkeling headgear.
Light blue-colored shield with a pattern on it (which could be the sprite update for the Cobalt Shield).
Torches can be colored when combined with gems (gem color would correspond to the torch color, similar to how Phaseblades work).
Amethyst/Purple Torch (Torch + Amethyst)
Topaz/Yellow Torch (Torch + Topaz)
Sapphire/Blue Torch (Torch + Sapphire)
Emerald/Green Torch (Torch + Emerald)

A new sword, resembling a buster sword.

"Anti-corruption" biome.
"At least" one new boss. Possibly Cthulhu.
Corruption can spread into Deserts, oceans and Jungles.
Unicorns.
A new Werewolf-like monster/Vanity Set.
An Orb of Light Upgrade(Looks like a fairy)
A new biome with colored trees and light blue-colored grass.
A new lighting engine:
Allows for colored light.
Torches give off a warmer glow.
Lighting is now much smoother, and the overall brightness has been increased.
Lighting can be toggled between 4 different modes through the use of a hotkey.
New Monster: Wraith
New Monster: Giant purple floaty death hammer of doom and death
New Monster: Clingers (similar to Man-Eaters, but in the corruption)
New Monster: Armored Skeleton
New Monster: Giant Bat
New Monster: (Possibly) Corrupt Slime
New Monster: Corrupter (improved Eater of Souls
New Feature: Capable of destroying Demon Altars
Torch/Glowstick hotkey
Context Sensitive Hotkey(uses the appropriate tool for whatever you are moused over)
“Deep Corruption†(New Music along with it.)
Breaking Demon Altars causes the New Ores to enter the world.

 

Yup. But I'm guna start a whole new world and character so I don't ruin the update like I have the others after 1.0.4 .
