    Agains his sustain:
    • Morellonomicon if you're AP, Executioner's Calling if you're AD.
    • If hes on mid Katarina has grievous wounds on her Ult or Fizz's Seastone Trident.
    • Few ADc's also have grievous wounds (Varus, Tristana, Miss Fortune).
    • And Ignite of course.
    If he's on top, try to farm, get few ganks and get to mid/late game with decent farm and score. If you were playing draft, you should have at least one champion with grievous wounds or lots of Ignites. If hes fed or farmed focus him in teamfight, because he wins in prolonged battles.

    If you're playing blind pick, itemization and magic resist are your friends.

    Ignite - When he ults, you can decrease his healing with Ignite, Morellonomicon is also good as it has kind of a passive like ignite.
    Fizz- excellent counter for Swain, but any champ that has hard CC is good for counter too..

    I think that Viktor is really good counter pick for Swain, but he is not easy to play and most of players don't play him, but he is good counter for Swain definitely... also Swain can't play good against Cassiopeia bcs of her ultimate and all of that burste dmg...
