Would you rather see a game release pushed back a year or have the game release with a few bugs that will be fixed?

Or if there is another option post it below :)

If there're only a few bugs, then releasing it early might be good. Nothing is released with no bugs anyway. But in your question, I'm assuming it has to have a lot of bugs if it's going to be delayed for one year. If that's the case, delay it until we have very few bugs left.

For me it depends what types of bugs it has and how detrimental they are to gameplay or fairness. I game may have a lot of bugs but they may also be small and dont really affect anything besides being an annoyance.

Either way Im in favor of releasing the game with bugs. I think it encourages devs to get them fixed and gives players the opportunity to help fine tune the game and be a part of it more.

developers seem to get the heat either way...so they should just release it anyway because they won't find every bug. I can guarantee you that!

A game should be delayed until it is ready to play without bugs.

Even though many people wants to delay it, they can. release it buggy to those who wants it released. The ones that voted for delay can just start playing when the bugs is fixed.

release since the delay doesn't have to fix all the bugs even if you delay it if the developer can't find the bugs.

I might have said release, if I didn't play Skyrim when it was just released and if I didn't uninstall it cause of the bugs knocking all the fun out of it. Definitely delay

Rushing is bad lol. It will give the devs hassle time hard time

  13. I see this topic being a common theme for games like AQ3D. I honestly prefer delays, because there are no such things as a "second impression", once you launch with bugs and patch those bugs later on. Sometimes it's hard to revisit the game, once you've play through it with bugs. It's all about the first impression, especially when targeting the consumer, though it does depend on how much impact the bugs do to the game.

Personally I wouldn't mind playing through bugs but when you release a game you wanna give players a good first impression, if there's bugs, no storyline or not a lot of content to do then people will eventually get bored of it and quit.

Majority of people would say delay, but I love being a new alpha or beta tester on a game, right at the very beginning, so you get to experience the barren universe as it first was.

Release with an open test map, so the community can report and help the game development.

For me, there is better to delay - make the soft launch, test and optimize to final open then release the game with bugs which can kill them.
