    actually never saw Legolas using fighting knives in the movie ... or I just miss it :) knifes are really "kewl" :)

    Ha. I wasn't even thinking fantasy stuff, was trying to identify them as historical.

    They are cool though. I remember them in the LOTR trilogy. Didn't see the Hobbitt movies yet.

    I was not thinking about Fantasy either. Thought maybe Chinese at first. Elven was not even a thought and I have seen five of those movies with Legolas lol.

    Unless they have elves in Asia, these swords are not Asian:). They look at first glance though. China does have more weapons this style, but I could not find anything close in Google Search.

    Yes, he used them in close combat sometimes. Not as much as the bow, but you can also see the handles on his back a lot:). I watch a couple of the movies over again just to see those knives lol.
