    I think what's becoming more common now, along with the adoption of Chromebooks, is that some schools are using Minecraft as a teaching platform, primarily in elementary schools, specifically "Minecraft: Education Edition". I think that's more geared towards children than the regular Minecraft is; regular Minecraft is still for all players.
