If they are ranting about trivial things, I would get annoyed. But if it was about something to better the game then I would support it.

For me, rants are generally useful feedback no matter how much criticism there are against the rant because the ranter has his/her own point of view, and it's important for an audience to understand that point of view. A lot of people in the AQ3D community have a grudge against rants, but oftentimes the person who does rant have some excellent points and those points could very well improve the game. What makes a rant good is the use of constructive criticism, elaboration, and suggestions, but there are sometimes rants that are simply just complaints that offer no constructive criticism, elaboration, or suggestions.

In one example, there was a rant against the old craft system where every single craft reward had a DC option, especially the Nightlocke items. After rants about that (how it was pay2win, required no effort, etc.), AE listened to the players and created craft-only items which became quite favored among the AQ3D community.

There was also a time when some players ranted about griefers destroying chests (specifically rare chests that could drop hard-to-obtain items) without waiting for other players on Facebook and that became a huge debate among the AQ3D community. Eventually, AE added party/private dungeons which solved that issue.

So yes, I think rants are excellent.

 

If the rantinf seems rational/logical/worthy for discussion, then its good. Otherwise, its just annoyingly annoying

Ranting is a good thing unless topic of said rant is not relevant to AQ3D. Sometimes off-topic rants can be good but in most cases they are not really that well thought out or rant topic is not logical and thus it's wasted effort.

 

Maybe it will be a lot of ignore if he talks are not good. If I could slap, I might do it.

 

Definitely, though off-topic rants wouldn't make too much sense; most rants would probably be within topic. The only time when rants can be bad is if it looks more like a complaint, or if the rant isn't constructive.

 

Ranting is good as long as it's constructive, it wouldn't be good for the game if everyone agreed with AE's decisions.

 

Rants are great. Its a good way of getting rid of some stress you might be having. Even if its just to vent its always good to get it out rather than let it fester and sit.

 

Hmm yes and no... If they are making pointless remarks that have absolutely no value then no... If there is something to gain from them then yes..

 

I remember ppl rant, AE rigged the faction war on shrade camp.
