Bluestacks carries a lot of viruses, and it can damage your software don't download it.

Pretty useful PC application to be honest. I don't own any Android devices since I use an iPhone, so Bluestacks is pretty great if you're looking into Android-exclusive apps to use. The performance for Android apps on Bluestacks isn't too great though, but it's decent.

I've never had any issues with viruses from Bluestacks, though I would recommend doing virus scans if you're very cautious. I just don't recommend downloading Bluestacks off any strange sites since they often come bundled with viruses; instead, it's best to get the program from whatever site it originates from.

I was using bluestacks before when I was playing Last Day on Earth. For some reason, it became laggy and at times the game wont load anymore so I got rid of it.

I rather not mess with such apps which have high chances of infesting my pc.

I never really considered this, but creating a new partition on your computer and installing an Android-based operating system is another approach to play Android games on a computer, and I think you'll find better results from it than if you installed software like BlueStacks, because software is just an extra layer on top of whatever existing operating system you have (e.g. Windows). Of all the Android-based operating systems I've searched for, I think PrimeOS would be a good choice. I haven't tried it since I'm fine with the apps that are available on iOS, but it could be something I might consider if I ever run into trouble where I can't find an app from Android on iOS; and it's probably not a bad choice if you have a computer with a 1 TB hard drive and you only use a fraction of the hard drive or if you have a spare computer that you hardly ever use.
